We are seeking an experienced and proactive self employed Carpenter Supervisor to oversee and manage carpentry projects on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising teams, ensuring projects are completed to high standards, and maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the construction process. This role offers an opportunity to lead skilled tradespeople in a dynamic environment, ensuring that all work complies with specifications, deadlines, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise carpentry teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion of projects
Oversee daily operations on-site, coordinating with project managers and clients to meet project requirements
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments
Manage material procurement and utilisation, ensuring resources are used efficiently and within budget
Maintain detailed records of work performed, labour hours, and materials used for reporting purposes
Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors to facilitate smooth workflow and project integration
Enforce quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship
Utilise Primavera P6 for project scheduling, tracking progress, and updating timelines as necessary
Skills
Proven management experience within a construction or carpentry environment
Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful teams on large-scale projects
Qualifications NVQ/SSSTS/CSCS card
Ability to work on the tools if required
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
Leadership qualities combined with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making

Pay: 35.00-42.00 per hour
