Join Our Growing Team of Forensic Accountants!



We are looking for a Forensic Accountant, to join our Gallagher Business Assist team, which provides claims preparation and negotiation expertise to Gallagher clients, within one of the world's largest Insurance brokerage and consulting firms. The role will be predominately leading and managing large and complex business interruption losses and pre-loss business interruption exposure projects.

The Forensic Accounting offering provides expertise in handling a wide and varied portfolio of commercial Business Interruption and Stock Losses, generally in excess of 100,000 for a range of SME to corporate claims which will vary in size and complexity.

The Forensic Accounting service forms part of Gallagher Business Assist, where you will be joining a well-established and supportive team of very experienced Chartered Loss Adjusters, and working with another specialist Forensic Accountant.



How you'll make an impact



Lead and manage large and complex business interruption losses and pre-loss business interruption exposure projects. Process business interruption and stock claims, providing specialist assistance on major and complex losses. Apply your forensic accounting and business interruption knowledge to deliver pre-loss business interruption exposure projects, including reviews of sums insured and stress testing first loss business interruption limits. Meet clients, adjusters, insurers, and other involved parties to assist in preparing, presenting, and negotiating settlements. Liaise directly with clients regarding claim queries or issues, ensuring they are updated on progress at appropriate intervals. Develop strong working relationships with clients and AJG colleagues to improve customer happiness. Offer appropriate technical advice throughout the claims process, providing clients with sufficient knowledge to make informed decisions. Effectively manage expectations regarding claims processes, timescales, policy, legal liability, and quantum. Actively promote Business Assist and the Forensic Accountancy service both regionally and nationally, including branch visits. Comply strictly with AJG Professional Standards and statutory requirements, including managing client information, whistleblowing, and treating customers fairly. Understand and apply fundamental legal and regulatory policies as required.




About You



Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA). Ideally based in the Midlands, North West, or North East. Home-based role with travel required for 3-4 client or business meetings per month. Experienced forensic accountant, preferably within the insurance sector. Strong background in insurance-focused forensic accounting, particularly business interruption. Demonstrated project management, communication, and collaborator management skills. Ability to lead large and complex claims and conduct C-suite level discussions. Proficiency in MS Office is essential. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Confident negotiation skills. Eligible to work in the UK.
