What you will be doing?
We're seeking a a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing Forensic Services team in London.
With a distinctive range of expertise and extensive links to the legal profession, we provide forensic services across numerous disciplines for both corporate and private clients. Our partners are acknowledged leaders in their own fields and combine this expertise with an understanding of the legal process and experience of acting as Expert Witnesses.
Our team offers forensic accounting and forensic technology services on a wide range of contentious matters including commercial dispute resolution, fraud and bribery investigations, private client disputes, personal injury claims, and Monitoring Trustee and Competition Services, both in the UK and internationally.
Initially this role will be responsible for working on a global investigation in aid of criminal proceedings, including asset-tracing of c.$1 billion in funds.
As Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include among others:
Undertaking initial reviews of cases with a Manager / Partner
Undertaking analysis of financial documents such as financial statements and bank statements
Performing document review of investment documents, banking information and emails
Documenting analysis conducted and sharing findings with the team
Assisting in the preparation and drafting of reports
Attending client meetings and telephone calls, where necessary, taking detailed notes
Fact-checking of reports and calculations prepared by Managers / Partners to provide quality control.
Taking ownership of allocated tasks and being accountable for the quality of the work undertaken
Assisting with research to progress new business leads, as well as subsequent client onboarding and setup tasks
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should be
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified - direct forensics experience is not required
Report / formal writing skills
Ability to analyse large volumes of data
Ability to organise and prioritise workload
Ability to communicate with clients
Ability to recognise and analyse the issues in a case and plan a practical approach
Attention to detail and clarity of thought
