Summary

We are seeking a Forest School Lead to join Bright Eyes Childcare in St Austell. In this role, you will contribute to our mission of creating a supportive environment that encourages exploration and discovery. This position is vital in helping us integrate outdoor learning experiences into our programs, enriching the developmental journey of the children in our care.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement outdoor activities related to forestry and nature exploration. Support children's engagement with natural environments through guided play and educational activities. Collaborate with team members to integrate outdoor learning into daily routines. Ensure safety standards are maintained during outdoor activities. Foster an appreciation for nature and environmental stewardship among children. Assist in maintaining outdoor spaces to ensure they are safe, clean, and stimulating. Contribute to the development of educational materials related to forestry and nature. Support overall childcare activities by promoting curiosity and environmental awareness.

Qualifications

Level 3 in Early Years Education Forest school qualification (Desired but not essential) Proven experience or strong interest in outdoor education or forestry. Excellent communication skills suitable for working with young children. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Passion for nature and environmental education. Relevant certifications or training in childcare or outdoor activities are advantageous. Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging children with nature. Ability to ensure safety during outdoor activities. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic childcare environment.
