Forestry Excavator Operator
Job Description
Job Title: Excavator Operator - Forestry We are seeking a reliable and skilled Digger Operator to join our forestry operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing various types of restock mounding to support reforestation projects, while maintaining a high standard of safety, productivity, and machine care. Main area of work will be across Morayshire & Aberdeenshire.
Key Responsibilities: Operate an excavator to complete restock mounding across forestry sites. Perform daily checks and routine maintenance on the excavator to ensure it is in safe working condition. Meet a minimum production target of 2 hectares per week. Work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and environmental best practices. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure work is completed safely and to specification. Requirements: Previous excavator operating experience is required. Previous mounding experience is preferred but not essential--training can be provided. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in outdoor and remote environments. Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
Self employed with own transport Preferred. Benefits: Competitive pay based on experience.
