Role: Forge Operative

Salary: 14.69 per hour

Hours: Monday - Wednesday (6.00am - 16.00pm)

Thursday (6.00am - 15.00pm)

Due to continued growth I'm currently recruiting for a Forge Operative to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Forge Operative you will be responsible for operating counterbalance FLT's and overhead cranes.

Shift for the Forge Operative:

Monday - Wednesday (6.00am - 16.00pm)

Thursday (6.00am - 15.00pm)

Duties of the Forge Operative:

Operating machinery in the heat treatment area (chargers) Collect work from the forgings department to load into heat treatment. Operating the pendant and cab-controlled cranes within the machine shop. (All LOLER and associated training will be provided) Managing the logistics of the department by moving goods around using FLT's and the cranes. Loading and unloading of vehicles via forklift or crane General cleaning, tidying and removing any unwanted items from the department. Support with continuous improvement Work as a team to maximise productivity. Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company's H&S Policy.

The successful candidate for the Forge Operatives position will have the following experience:

3 - 5 years' experience operating Counterbalance FLT's (Essential) Experience working within a foundry (Desirable) Operating overhead cranes (Desirable)
