We are the world's largest grower and packer of daffodils in the world, we grow on approximately 3500 acres across varied sites in the area. 95% of the worlds daffodil supply is grown in the UK, of which 78% is grown here in Cornwall.
Our season is now in full flow and we are looking to recruit a Forklift driver to join us.
The role
We are currently looking for an individual to come and join us, starting immediately through to the end of August. Working within a small team of forklift drivers on busy daffodil bulbs operations Site.
Key Objectives:
Operating the forklift under the direction of the department manager
Carry out daily pre-use inspections on equipment, reporting any faults.
Carry out operational tasks while observing Safe Systems of Work.
Follow the "Clean as you Go" policy ensuring work areas are kept tidy, bins are emptied, pallets are stacked appropriately, and forklifts are cleaned weekly.
Assist with repairs and maintenances as required and within trained competency limits.
Take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and that of colleagues.
Work Pattern
The working week can be up to 6 days per week during our peak times.
The working day starts at either 7am or 8am and finishes at 5-8pm. These hours are reduced or extended depending on customer orders
