Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Forklift Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with extensive experience in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of forklift trucks. As a Mobile Forklift Engineer, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to our clients, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of their equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a diverse range of forklift trucks, including electric, diesel, and LPG-powered models.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and promptly resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimise downtime.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, comprehending their requirements, and elucidating the work undertaken.
- On-Site Visits: Travel to various client locations to provide on-site support, including emergency breakdown assistance and scheduled maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of all service and repair activities, including the parts utilised and the time allocated to each job.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools within the service vehicle.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience: Proven experience as a forklift engineer or similar role in the material handling industry.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair forklift trucks.
Licenses: Valid driver's license
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Fitness: Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
IT Skills: Proficiency in using diagnostic software and basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
