With growing demand, Gower View Foods is expanding and seeking Warehouse Operators with current licenses to join the team to contribute to the smooth and efficient running of its Goods In and Dispatch operations.
The Opportunity
As a Warehouse Operator, you will work as part of the team responsible for manufacturing Gower View Foods' range of dairy products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a modern food manufacturing company, with full on-the-job training provided. Key Responsibilities will include:
Receiving and Processing Incoming ingredient and packaging deliveries. Unloading goods from delivery trucks, checking for damage, and verifying the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring that inventory records are accurate and up-to-date.
Picking: Identifying the correct stock to fulfil customer orders and preparing them for shipment.
Loading and Unloading: Safely loading and unloading trailers using forklifts or powered ride-on trucks.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety: Keeping the warehouse clean, free from rubbish and organized, following safety rules and ensuring that equipment is in good working condition.
Quality Control: Inspecting products for defects or damage and ensuring that only quality goods are shipped to customers.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of inventory movements, shipments, and reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
What we are looking for:
Forklift and reach truck licenses
Experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential.
A proactive individual with good attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Readiness to help others and support in different factory areas, including providing break and absence cover in Production if required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (or willingness to learn)
Ideally the flexibility to work alternative shift patterns if required.
