Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Duties

Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage stock levels. Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring that items are handled safely and efficiently. Perform shipping and receiving tasks, verifying the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders. Conduct materials handling tasks, including sorting, packing, and preparing items for dispatch. Carry out equipment repair as needed to ensure all machinery is in good working order. Utilise forklifts for moving heavy items within the warehouse while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote an efficient working environment. Assist with basic math calculations for inventory management and stocktaking.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a proven track record in similar roles. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for effective inventory control. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing equipment repairs as required. Experience in materials handling and shipping & receiving processes is essential. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift is required. A valid forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided for suitable candidates.
