Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator (counterbalance and Bendi) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to facilitate the movement of materials and products within the facility. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining an organised workspace.
The hours of work are 11:15 - 19:30 Mon to Thurs and 8:30 - 15:30 Friday.
Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. Manage materials handling tasks, ensuring accurate placement of products in designated areas. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Skills
Proficiency in operating forklifts with a valid forklift licence. Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement of materials. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in shipping and receiving roles. Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: 13.18 per hour
Expected hours: 37 per week
