Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Telehandler Operator

to operate telescopic handlers (telehandlers) on construction or industrial sites. The operator will be responsible for lifting, moving, and placing materials with precision and care, supporting various site operations and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a telehandler to move loads to and from storage areas, work sites, and loading docks. Load and unload goods from trucks and storage facilities. Transport heavy materials around the construction site. Ensure proper use of attachments (e.g., forks, buckets, work platforms). Conduct daily pre-operational checks and report any defects or issues. Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure machines are properly fueled and lubricated. Adhere to all site safety protocols and occupational health standards. Assist with manual labor tasks when not operating equipment. Communicate with ground crew and other workers to coordinate movement and tasks. Report all incidents or near misses to site management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Telehandler or Rough Terrain Forklift Certification (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, OSHA certification depending on region). Previous experience operating a telehandler on a construction or industrial site. Familiarity with load handling and weight distribution. Strong understanding of site safety procedures. Ability to read load charts and understand lifting capacities. Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve lifting, standing, and working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with various attachments and heavy equipment. Ability to perform minor maintenance on equipment. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Exposure to dust, noise, and potentially hazardous materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Expected hours: 45 per week
