Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in warehouse operations and be proficient in operating forklifts and other materials handling equipment. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility, contributing to overall productivity and safety.

Responsibilities

To ensure pre use vehicle checks are completed, and any fault are reported to Shift Supervisor / management. To use all equipment in a correct and safe manor Take instruction from Shift Supervisor Pick orders according to instruction by Shift Supervisor Unloading and Loading pallets into ripening rooms in accordance with the ripening booking sheet To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily key performance indicators (KPI's) of the department set by the Shift Supervisor / General Manager and the needs of the business. Maintain high health and safety standards in line with the company's health and safety policies and procedures. To work safely and report any hazards or near misses to the Supervisor or Shift Manager. Ensuring work area is always kept clean and tidy. To clearly communicate with all colleagues in your team, your Shift Supervisor and Manager. This list is not exhausted, and the job holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the position as required. Person Specification Willing to work 4 on 4 off shift pattern 7am till 7pm Ability to work well in a team Knowledge of warehouse health and safety requirements Knowledge of company storage procedures, such as the correct way to load and unload pallets into a ripening room Ability to itemise product and record stock Accredited forklift operating licence from an industry-recognised body o Ability to safely lift 20 kilograms unassisted Scanning goods using RDT's and designated software o Very good communication skills Valid car driving license This role involves forklift at height in a fast paced environment. Accuracy with movement of pallets and loading 3 tier ripening rooms is essential. Forklift counterbalance experience required.

Pay: 13.39 per hour
