Days only - typically 7:00am to 6:30pm (1-hour lunch break)

Additional:

5 weeks per year covering early shift (4:30am - 3:30pm)

About the Role

We are starting a new contract in November and are looking for a reliable and experienced

Counterbalance Forklift Driver

to join our team. This is a varied position that combines forklift operation with occasional assistance in the transport office.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the smooth running of daily operations, loading and unloading vehicles, moving freight safely and efficiently, carrying out manual handling tasks, and helping to support the planning team when required.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently. Load and unload vehicles in line with company procedures. Carry out manual handling duties, including stacking and wrapping pallets. Check and record goods in/out accurately. Keep the working area clean, organised, and safe at all times. Support the transport planning team with route planning, job allocation, and general administration when required. Provide cover for the early planning shift (4:30am-3:30pm) for approximately 5 weeks per year. Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. Experience working in a busy warehouse or transport environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Good IT skills and ability to assist with transport planning and admin. Flexibility to cover early shifts as required. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling tasks.
