Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring that all shipping and receiving tasks are completed accurately. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary.

Duties

Operate forklifts to load and unload goods from lorries and containers. Accurately handle shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all materials are accounted for. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and stock control. Assist in equipment repair and maintenance as needed to ensure optimal performance. Handle materials efficiently, following proper procedures for lifting and transporting heavy items. Utilise warehouse management systems effectively to track inventory levels and movements. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the warehouse environment.

Requirements

Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs. Familiarity with materials handling practices and safety regulations. Basic maths skills for inventory management tasks. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving within the workplace environment.
