We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and be proficient in using forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of materials. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of goods within our facility, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system to track stock levels and locations. Perform regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure safe operation. Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation within the warehouse. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and efficiency in the warehouse.

Skills

Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for effective inventory control. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring physical fitness for the role. Basic math skills for accurate counting and measurement of materials. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, particularly in shipping and receiving functions.
