Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Driver/Labourer to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety protocols, and effective materials handling techniques.

Duties

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Participate in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper lifting techniques are used. Support inventory management through accurate tracking of materials within the warehouse management system.

Experience

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or as a forklift driver is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes and materials handling techniques is essential. Experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes is a plus. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures is beneficial. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation will be advantageous. Prior experience in a warehouse supervisor role or similar capacity is desirable but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.
