Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver/Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution and be proficient in operating various types of heavy equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks. This role involves the safe and efficient handling of materials, ensuring that products are loaded, unloaded, and stored properly within our facility.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse. Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and deadlines. Follow OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements

Previous warehouse experience is required; experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus. Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other materials handling equipment. Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as part of daily duties. Experience with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations is essential. Knowledge of safety regulations related to materials handling in a warehouse setting is required.
