Role Description



Do you have experience or working in a Builder's Merchant in the yard and on the forklift, but would like to try your hand at sales? If so, this is your chance! We have a great opportunity to for someone to join our small, close-knit team at our new branch in Paradise, Hemel Hempstead.

It is essential that you can operate a forklift for this role but there more to it than - you will need to be a team player who wants to get involved in all aspects of the branch, as you will be crucial to keeping things running smoothly. You might be loading customers, unloading deliveries, and taking sales calls or booking stock in all in the same day.

It's a friendly working environment. We are really looking for the right person for the role, so the salary is negotiable depending on what you can bring!

Responsibilities



Operate forklifts to efficiently load and unload materials while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in managing stock. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting with sales. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Hours: 7am-4.30pm Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 21 days plus Bank Holidays

Requirements



Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift Great customer service skills Experience working in a Builders Merchant Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time Good communication and organisational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Eligible to work in the UK
