Job Description

Yardsman/Forklift driver to work as part of a team in our depot.

Duties & Responsibilities

Safely operate counterbalance forklift and other yard equipment to load/unload vehicles and move stock. Pick, stage, and dispatch orders accurately; complete delivery/collection paperwork and scans. Receive, check, and store inbound materials; maintain clear labelling and stock rotation. Keep the yard clean, organised, and hazard-free; manage waste, pallets, and returns. Assist drivers and customers on-site with collections and product queries. Perform basic equipment checks and report defects; follow all site safety procedures. Support depot tasks as needed: handballing, inventory counts, and occasional inside-warehouse cover.
Requirements

Must-haves:

Valid forklift licence/certification and proven experience in a depot, yard, or warehouse role. Strong safety mindset; confident with manual handling and working outdoors in all weather. Basic computer/scanner skills for goods-in/out, labels, and stock movements. Good communication, teamwork, and attention to detail; reliable timekeeping. Right to work and ability to lift up to 25 kg regularly.
Nice-to-haves:

Telehandler/reach truck experience; banksman or MEWP certification. Counter, building materials, or trade supplies knowledge. Experience with inventory systems (e.g., handheld scanners/WMS).
