Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading manufacturer of Forklift Trucks and other Material Handling equipment looking to bring on an experienced forklift engineer to carry out installations of forklifts to clients across the UK and carry out PDI's at their site in Basingstoke. With a competitive salary and great overall earning potential, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced forklift engineer looking to get into a different type of role.

Responsibilities

Travelling to customer sites across the UK and assisting with the installations of new fleets of Material Handling equipment

Supporting with PDIs at the company's site in Basingstoke

Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when on site

Carrying out maintenance on forklifts and other Material Handling equipment when required

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager

Requirements

It is highly preferrable that candidates have strong backgrounds within forklift maintenance. The role will be highly customer facing so there will also be an expectation for the successful candidate to have good communication skills. They may consider backgrounds such as Commercial Vehicles or Plant equipment provided the individual shows the desire to pick up new products quickly. In terms of location, you will need to be based within commutable distance of Basingstoke. You must hold a full UK driver's license, be willing to travel nationally and stay overnight when required.

Competitive salary - up to 34.5k (dependant on experience)
