Nickall Training Services have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team in Aberdeenshire as a Material Handling Equipment Instructor, someone with prior experience to deliver first aid would be preferred but not essential!. In this role you will deliver various types of training to our wide range of customers across many different industries!
Shift pattern: flexibility can be offered we are looking for someone to deliver training between (Monday - Friday ) Saturdays optional.
Hours:
8 am - 5 pm /
40 average hours per week
Experience required:
Existing RTITB / ITSSAR / AITT / NPORS
qualification (or equivalent)
We are looking for someone to deliver Material Handling Equipment and First Aid training to our customers ensuring their needs and expectations are met. The instructor will be responsible for, coordinating the planning and delivery of Novice, Refresher, Conversion & Existing operator courses, ensuring delivery of this training is completed in accordance with HSE and Accredited body training matrix.
What your average day will look like:
Deliver comprehensive training for various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks, reach trucks, telehandlers etc.).
Conduct both theoretical and practical training sessions to certify operators in the safe operation of MHE and pre-use checks.
Assess and evaluate operators' performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures requested by the customer.
Perform risk assessments to identify and reduce risks that may be present.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Developing and updating training materials and manuals to ensure they are current and meet HSE standards.
Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Providing guidance and support to customers on best practices for MHE operations.
About you:
Certified or previously certified instructor with any of the relevant accrediting bodies-
RTITB / ITSSAR / AITT / NPORS.
Driver CPC instructor - preferred not essential!
First Aid instructor certification - preferred not essential!
Train The Trainer Certification - preferred not essential!
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
Ability to develop and update training materials and manuals
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to assess and evaluate operator performance effectively
Commitment to promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Proven experience in training and certifying operators on various types of material handling equipment (MHE)
