Numatic are a well-established UK cleaning equipment manufacturer, home to the iconic Henry vacuum cleaner based in Chard, Somerset.


We are on the lookout for a dependable and hardworking Forklift Driver/Operative to join our busy manufacturing Component Supply Section/Servo team. If you're looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment we would love to hear from you!


You will mainly be responsible for driving a forklift, moving products between departments to feed our busy assembly lines. You will also be required to support the CSS team on the production line as and when required.


Immediate start available.


This role is initially offered on a 6 month contract.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Driving a Forklift to move products between buildings
Manoeuvre forklift safely in busy manufacturing environments. Safely stacking, unstacking, moving, and loading large quantities of goods to designated areas within allotted timescales. Follow Storage, Equipment, Manufacturers Association (SEMA) guidelines for safe placement of stock and racking structures as guided by markings
Maintaining transaction al accuracy within the area
Communicating with team members to ensure minimum downtime
Some operative/line feeding duties as required


ABOUT YOU:


Experience in counterbalance forklift with license
Barcoding operation experience desirable
Experience of hand scanning would be an advantage but training can be provided
Reliable, punctual, and committed to high safety standards
Excellent communication skills
Proactive
Ability to work under pressure
High attention to detail


HOURS: Days:


07.30 - 16.15 pm Mon - Thurs


07.30 - 12.30 Friday
