Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and demonstrate proficiency in materials handling, shipping and receiving. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load and unload materials from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using the warehouse management system. Assist in shipping and receiving operations, verifying shipments against packing lists. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable. Valid forklift certification is required. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs. Proficient in basic mathematics for inventory management tasks. Ability to lift heavy loads consistently throughout the shift. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
