Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, and unload units within our warehouse environment, on site and working away. This role requires a strong understanding of operations and safety protocols, as well as the ability to perform mechanical tasks when necessary.

The role will also involve general labouring so a multi skilled building knowledge is essential.

Candidates MUST be willing to work away weekly (Monday - Friday only)

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport units within the warehouse & on site. Assisting team members on site, general labouring Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed. Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist in materials handling tasks, including stacking, sorting, and organising products. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely shipping and receiving of goods. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse setting & ideally on site. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform equipment repairs as needed. Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. A valid forklift operator certification is required.
