Job Title: Foster Carer Recruitment Officer

Location: Home-Based (with 1 day per week in our Lancashire office)

Salary: 27,300 per annum + 50 bonus per completed application

Target: Minimum 5 completed applications per month

The Role



As our

Foster Carer Recruitment Officer

, you will be at the frontline of finding, inspiring, and supporting prospective foster carers from initial interest right through to the point of submitting a completed application form. After that, our dedicated social work team will take over the formal assessment process.

You'll need to be creative, strategic, personable, and motivated by making a difference. This isn't just a numbers game - it's about connecting with the right people who can offer safe, stable homes to children in care.

Key Responsibilities



Lead generation & prospecting:


Develop and implement creative methods to generate foster carer enquiries across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Community outreach & engagement:


- Host and attend events, community days, school visits, place of worship talks, etc.
- Build partnerships with local businesses, GPs, faith leaders, community centres, etc.

Campaign creation & delivery:


- Design and run targeted recruitment campaigns online and offline
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure compelling, inclusive messaging
- Explore non-traditional routes such as car boot stalls, gym boards, supermarkets, and hairdressers

Social media outreach:


Use Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, LinkedIn, WhatsApp groups and community forums to build interest and drive leads

Follow-up & relationship building:


- Respond promptly to all enquiries
- Arrange and lead initial information calls
- Guide prospective carers through the early-stage process up to application

Data management:


- Log all contacts and communications in our CRM
- Provide weekly reports on performance and application pipeline

Continuous improvement:


- Test new ideas for recruitment - from fostering ambassador programmes to referral incentives
- Monitor what works and adapt quickly to improve conversion rates

Key Requirements



A natural people-person who thrives on building relationships and connecting with others Proven experience in sales, recruitment, community engagement or outreach Creative thinker with the ability to execute ideas with little hand-holding Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organised, self-motivated and target-driven Knowledge of Lancashire and Greater Manchester communities Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and social platforms
