Care Visions Fostering (Scotland) are recruiting experienced individuals to become Independent Panel members with us for our fostering panel which is based in Falkirk and sits on a Monday.
Pay: 130 + Travel Expenses Per Meeting
About us
The fostering panel provides independent oversight of the recruitment, assessment and review of foster carers and makes reasoned decisions on their suitability to foster.
Experience Required:
Professional or personal experience on the placement of the placement of children in adoptive or foster families, or of children being cared for away from their birth family.
Experience can include work in; education, health, social care, as a foster carer, or having personal experience of being looked after personally as a child or young person.
Personal Attributes:
Good listening and communication skills are essential.
The ability to make an assessment based on the written and oral information presented.
Ability to discuss and make decisions in a balanced and informed manner.

Applicants should have experience either professionally/personally of the placement of children in foster families or of children being cared for away from their birth family.
We are recruiting individuals with the following backgrounds:
- medical or health
- education
- recent experience of fostering children.
- personal experience of being a looked after child.
- experience in child/adult care.
Good listening and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to make an assessment based on the written and oral information being presented, in order that the panel can discuss and make decisions in a balanced and informed manner.
