This
Northamptonshire or surrounding area-based
position will support our foster families within our expanding service in the
Home Counties
, offering a work-from-home contract. Occasional travel to our
Bromsgrove
office will be required.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with some work completed from home, face-to-face meetings with foster carers across the service. You would join a thriving and growing community of foster carers and a team of staff with a strong, welcoming, and child-centred ethos.
Five Rivers works from a Trauma-informed (ATIC) model, integrating our fostering, residential, clinical, and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. Teams are supported by a psychologist and education service. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high-quality support to their foster families.

You will directly support our foster carers within the Home Counties with realistic caseloads which enables a higher level of supervision, support, monitoring, and intervention.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will be working within a trauma-informed practice model that is continually evolving; you will support recruitment events and planning, Children & Young people's participation; out-of-hours duty service, where you will support our foster carers on a rota basis and complete Form F Assessments.
A Senior Practitioner needs to be a team player and want to achieve the best possible outcome for all our foster carers and children. You will need to be registered with Social Work England and have a formal social work qualification.
The role also requires you to have access to a car for completing visits and the right to work in the UK.
The Agency will invest in your professional development by offering a variety of training opportunities, supporting your Social Work England registration
Hours
Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9:00 am -5:00 pm and Fridays 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
The role is full-time over five days per week.
