Foundation Learning Room Leader - Maternity Cover

Hours:

32.5 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term time only)

We are excited to offer this opportunity for a supportive, encouraging and patient room leader to join our team.

In this role you will:

Lead and support a team of support staff, ensuring effective delivery of the student timetable and daily briefings. Provide high-quality learner support, tailored to individual needs, including personal care, medication administration, and physiotherapy assistance. Support the development and review of student support packs, learning plans, and evidence portfolios. Promote safeguarding and equality, ensuring all college policies and procedures are followed. Act as a staff voice, offering feedback to senior staff to improve team performance and learner outcomes. Commit to ongoing professional development, attending relevant training and updating CPD regularly.

Criteria:

Essential criteria:

Level 2 English and Maths Completion of mandatory college training Experience of supporting young people with additional needs Experience of working in an educational setting

Desirable criteria:

Level 2 Health and Social Care Positive Behaviour Support Training Experience in Healthcare, Social Care, Domiciliary Care and Childcare Level 2 functional IT
