THIS POST IS A SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS MATERNITY COVER



The post holder will work in partnership with education, training and development leads within the workforce and pharmacy employers to ensure consistency, standardisation and quality assurance of foundation pharmacist training programmes throughout Wales. They will be responsible for the regional development and delivery of multi and intra professional education and training and the integration of Health and Social Care within NHS services.

This post is fixed term/secondment for 12 months due to maternity cover. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.



To be responsible for leading the oversight of foundation pharmacy training for a designated region or number of trainees in Wales. Providing educational and professional support to trainees, supervisors and other relevant stakeholders throughout the training year.



To be responsible for the design, development, review and regional implementation of the HEIW foundation pharmacist onsite and offsite training programme, enabling trainees to work towards foundation training learning outcomes.



To support and implement HEIW quality management processes throughout the training year, ensuring practice is adherent to the HEIW programme accreditation agreement with the regulator.



To engage with local and national stakeholders as part of the annual recruitment cycles for foundation trainee pharmacists, utilising local and national intelligence to lead on the negotiation and securing of placements for a designated region or number of trainees to contribute to the trainee pharmacist and registrant workforce pipeline.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
