About be/impact

be/impact is an award-winning social impact startup on a mission to upskill 10 million employees while breaking down barriers to education. Our platform helps employees retain knowledge by teaching what they've learned to changemakers in non-profits. It's a win-win-win: better learning outcomes, measurable social value, and inclusive talent development.

Backed by leading angels - including the former head of J.P.?Morgan's DACH business - and winners of an Innovate?UK award, we already work with leading firms such as Roland?Berger and Correlation?Risk?Partners. We are in advanced conversations with the big consultancies (BCG, Accenture, KPMG, Deloitte and more), as we create a new market where learning meets social impact. This is only the beginning.

Role Overview

This role is a launch?pad for anyone who hopes to start a company one day. This means you are an ambitious, self-driven doer, who turns ideas into actions and who is passionate about making a tangible difference through education and social innovation. We're looking for someone who gets things done, fast.

You'll work shoulder?to?shoulder with the founders while the business is still in early-stage. Most weeks you'll lead sales pushes and steer strategic projects that influence where be/impact goes next. From day one you'll hold genuine responsibility, see your work create social value and grow in step with the company.

As we grow, your remit will expand. A year from now, you'll be wrestling with different problems, and we'll count on you to spot gaps, suggest fixes and spin up new workstreams.

Joining an early?stage, mission?driven start?up means equity, a say in the big decisions, room for your ideas and the chance to shape the culture and processes that will guide be/impact long after these first chapters.

How you'll make an impact

In your first six?months, you'll spend roughly 60?% of your time on new?business work; as the client roster grows, more of your week might tilt toward operations and product.

Own & Execute:

Take responsibility for entire workstreams. Find your niche, build from scratch, and repeat.

Grow Your Network:

Work directly with the founders and C-level leaders, partners, and social value managers at top UK firms in consulting, construction, and more - plus a wide range of non-profit organisations.

Build & Scale:

Set up and grow critical business areas such as sales, partnerships, hiring, and product in the UK and internationally as we expand to other markets

Learn, learn, learn!:

We are a learning company, so we expect you to learn every week about the trends in our industry, how to use AI for your job and how we can improve our ways of working at be/impact

Help with everything else:

entrepreneurship is difficult and unpredictable at times. You need to be comfortable with change.
