MELTING & FOUNDRY OPERATIVES - IRON FOUNDRY

William Lee Ltd, based in Dronfield, is looking for reliable and hardworking Operatives to join our expanding Melting & Foundry teams.

Shift Patterns Available

Regular night shift Days & nights rotation 12 hour shifts

Pay

13.44 per hour + shift allowance Overtime available and expected

About the Role

You will play a key part in the safe and efficient production of high?quality iron castings. Roles are available across both Melting and Foundry operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operating melting furnaces and associated foundry equipment Preparing and loading raw materials for melting and casting Monitoring melt conditions, carrying out temperature checks, and adjusting processes as required Sampling molten metal and performing basic quality inspections Carrying out casting operations, including mould pouring and monitoring solidification Performing knock?off, and the removal of excess material from castings Assisting with corelaying, mould preparation, and assembly of moulding boxes Recording production data accurately and reporting any issues promptly Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment Following strict health & safety procedures at all times Working closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production and quality targets

What We're Looking For

Experience in a foundry, metals, or heavy manufacturing environment (preferred but not essential) Strong awareness of health & safety Ability to work in hot, physically demanding conditions Good communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and follow established processes Dependable, proactive attitude

If you have experience with furnaces, molten metal, or transferable skills from heavy industry, we'd like to hear from you. Full training and all necessary protective equipment will be provided.
