Job Overview

Reporting into the Operations Director, we need an experience leader to drive efficiency and productivity in production. This role will lead in production planning for frames through to finished goods ensuring delivery on time in full and within budget.

You will also be responsible for managing the timely ordering of materials, machine maintenance and health and safety.

Responsibilities

Manage daily production operations, ensuring adherence to environment, safety and quality standards Develop and implement production schedules to optimise workflow to meet customer demands ensuring production on time in full to budget Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency and resolve any operational issues Monitor production metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Maintain accurate records of production activities, including inventory levels and equipment maintenance Generating reports tracking production data and reporting on performance Conduct regular quality control assessments to ensure product standards are met consistently Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance Train, mentor, and lead production team, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability

Requirements

Experience in leading manufacturing in a fast-growing business Planning and organisation skills to plan, run and monitor the production process Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively Proven experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing background with excellent communication skills to motivate the team effectively A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives Familiarity with supply chain principles and business processes is essential Experience with quality control methodologies and practices Experience in health and safety in a production environment
