We require a freelance tutor who has excellent communication skills to provide group and 1-1 training to adults in the workplace affected by Specific Learning Difficulties, such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, Mental Health Issues, as well as Visual and Hearing impairments. training to be delivered includes Coping strategy and a range of technical training.
Our Coping Strategies Training help employees with a wide range of disabilities take control of their working lives. Identification and understanding leads to practical learning strategies that help overcome difficulties and minimise the impact of their disability whilst maximising their skill and potential.
Our Technical training sessions are specialist training sessions on assistive technology, software and hardware. By undertaking these sessions, our clients develop confidence and skills and are enabled to make the most of their selected equipment.
Skills & Experience
You will have a training or teaching degree or equivalent and some teaching or training experience with adults.
You will have a strong desire to support people who overcome difficulties within the workplace experienced as a result of a disability or health condition.
You will be able to commit to 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9-5pm
We deliver remote as well as face-to-face training so driving and own car are essential.
Effective Communication: you will have strong communication skills to establish rapport, actively listen, and clearly convey information. Use appropriate language and communication strategies to ensure understanding for clients with different communication needs.
Presentation Skills: You will have effective presentation skills, including structuring content logically, using visual aids appropriately, and delivering information engagingly and compellingly. You will have the ability to adapt your presentation style to the needs and preferences of the group.
Knowledge of assistive technology is desirable however full training is given for this.
