Freelance Associate Mortgage Administrators needed!!

I'm a Freelance Mortgage Administrator. I used to be a whole of market mortgage and protection adviser in the past. Now mortgage advisers are my clients.

By outsourcing their admin to me, they free up their time, enabling them to focus on making sales and writing business. Doing the things that bring in the most money to their business.

I set up my business in July 2022 and it has grown far quicker than I anticipated it would! I have worked really hard to build up my client base and more importantly, my reputation, and I am looking to expand my team. I want like-minded, customer-focused, meticulous people who's attention to detail and dedication to help our clients is second to none.

Due to the nature of the work, I am unable to commit to paying anyone a salary, as clients can come and go with only a month's notice, so I need other freelancers like me, with the relevant experience in working in the mortgage industry, either as an administrator, an adviser, or an underwriter, as I'm at capacity now, so I need to pass overflow work to others.

I already have 3 associates, but I've still got more enquiries coming in that we can't accomodate between us, so I need more associates in order to be able to place the work instead of turning it down.

The types of tasks you would be expected to do are: (this is not an exhaustive list)

- submit Decisions in Principle to lenders

- submit Full Mortgage Applications to lenders

- upload documents to lender websites

- update back office systems

- draft suitability reports

- chase lenders for progress updates

- chase clients for outstanding documents

- chase solicitors for conveyancing updates

- compliance admin file checks

This is a fully remote position.

You would need to have your own Professional Indemnity Insurance and be ICO registered (at your own cost).

This is not an employed position. You would be working as a freelancer and I will pass work to you as it comes in if I'm unable to take it on myself.

It's up to you how much work you wish to take on depending on your capacity. Most clients want between 10-30 hours per month retained.

I'm trying to build a team of 5 associates so I have a number of options of who I can pass the work to.

You will be paid by the hour. I charge the client an hourly fee and I will give you a fair portion of that fee (dependent on your experience), retaining some to cover my costs of acquiring the client, onboarding them, maintaining the relationship, monitoring your work and being available for queries.

You would need to use time tracking software (Clockify) to log your hours for each client.
