Job Summary

Clwyd Special Riding Centre has an exciting opening for a Freelance BHS qualified riding instructor to join our friendly team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum qualification of BHS Stage 3 Coach, and confident in riding coaching or teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire students with additional needs.

Minimum qualification of BHS Stage 3 Coach. Start date: Immediately / from September 2025. Qualifications required: BHS Stage 3 Coach - Equivalent Level 3 Diploma in BHS Riding Horses, Horse Care, Preliminary Teaching of Horse Riding. Hours per week: Saturday all day and Tuesday afternoons. Hours potentially increasing.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging riding lessons tailored to the needs of participants. Assess participant performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills. Create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation and teamwork. Maintain accurate records of participant progress and attendance. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to develop programmes that meet the needs of all participants.

Requirements

Proven experience is essential. Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire participants. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
