Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Maintain food safety standards and hygiene practices throughout the kitchen. Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings. Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimising waste. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly. Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines. Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
