Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their culinary skills and performance.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with health regulations.
Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
Conduct regular quality checks on food items before they are served to guests.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is essential.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, culinary methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to cater to various customer needs is an advantage.
