As part of our expansion, we are looking for a

Freelance CSCS Tutor

to deliver engaging, effective CSCS training and support learners to successfully achieve their CSCS card.

The Role

As a Freelance CSCS Tutor, you will deliver high-quality training to learners preparing for the

CSCS Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Test

. You will support learners to build knowledge, confidence, and test readiness, using engaging and practical teaching methods.

This role is ideal for an experienced construction tutor or industry professional with strong knowledge of health and safety requirements and experience supporting learners through CSCS certification.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Delivery

Deliver CSCS training sessions (online and/or face-to-face) Prepare learners for the CSCS HS&E Test (Operatives / Labourer level) Explain construction health and safety principles clearly and practically Use mock tests and practice materials to assess learner readiness

Learner Support

Support learners with varying literacy, numeracy, and digital skill levels Provide constructive feedback and guidance Encourage learner confidence and progression into employment

Quality & Compliance

Maintain accurate session registers and learner records Follow Functional Skills UK quality assurance, safeguarding, and H&S policies Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and delivery

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of

CSCS Health, Safety & Environment

requirements Experience delivering CSCS training or construction health & safety training Ability to engage and support adult learners Clear, confident communication style Reliable, professional approach to freelance delivery

Desirable

Recognised teaching or training qualification (AET, PTLLS, Cert Ed) Construction industry background Experience delivering employability or funded skills programmes Experience delivering training to learners with additional support needs
