GCSE and A level tutors

to join our team of freelance distance learning tutors. NEC is a long-established

educational charity

committed to widening access to education through online, tutor-supported courses. Our students are diverse, resilient, and often studying against the odds. The right tutor can be life-changing--bringing confidence, motivation, and the personalised support that unlocks success.

Unlike classroom teaching, our distance learning model focuses on

high-quality feedback and one-to-one online support

. As a tutor, you'll provide written feedback on assignments, deliver occasional live online tutorials, and offer individualised guidance that fits each student's pace and goals.

Subjects we're currently recruiting for:



A level Physics A level Biology A level Classical Civilisation

What we're looking for:



A degree in your subject area A recognised teaching qualification Recent experience teaching your subject (ideally GCSE or A level) A genuine passion for supporting students remotely and inclusively Confidence using digital tools to support learning and communicate clearly

Freelance, remote working Hourly rate:40 Must be available to deliver some live one-to-one tutorials online Applications welcome from teachers with 3+ years' teaching experience
