We're looking for a skilled and hands-on

freelance field technician

to install and service Smart Hoist systems across job sites in London.

You'll be the face of our technology on the ground. Bringing safety, productivity, and efficiency to life through every install. You'll troubleshoot, fine-tune, and empower construction teams with tools that change the way they work forever.

If you've worked with low voltage electronics and know your way around construction sites this is your moment. A background in media, broadcast, or live events tech? Even better. You already know how to make systems work in real time now apply that expertise to revolutionise the construction site.

Install Smart Hoist Systems (Primary Focus)

Set up and calibrate Smart Hoist's plug-and-play systems at high-rise and mid-rise sites across London. Ensure seamless connectivity between hardware, cloud systems, and on-site teams.

Optimize Performance & Train Crews

Troubleshoot on the spot. Solving issues fast to keep hoists moving.

Provide feedback on system use, so our tech keeps getting smarter.

Be the Tech on the Ground

Act as Smartsite's field presence: reliable, professional, and trusted.

Share on-site insights with our engineering and customer success teams.

Who you are.

Experience with low voltage electronics, sensors, or cabling (required) Comfort with tools, site environments, and safety protocols Strong problem-solver, fast learner, and clear communicator Freelance flexibility, you like variety and can commit to short-term projects on-demand Bonus: Experience in media production, TV broadcasting, or live event setup (lighting, sound, or camera tech) Bonus: Familiarity with hoist systems, construction lifts, or mechanical installs

Pay: 35,000.00-39,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 8 - 36 per week
