Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable First Aid Instructor to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for educating others in essential first aid skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences. This role involves delivering engaging training sessions, ensuring participants are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to emergencies confidently.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive first aid training sessions to individuals and groups, ensuring all participants understand key concepts. Develop and update training materials to reflect current best practices in first aid and emergency response. Communicate complex information clearly and effectively, adapting teaching methods to suit various learning styles. Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment that encourages participation and engagement. Assess participant understanding through practical demonstrations and written evaluations.

Experience

Proven experience as a First Aid Instructor or in a similar educational role is preferred. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple training sessions simultaneously. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, fostering an inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning. Proficient IT skills for creating presentations and managing training documentation. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, enabling effective communication with participants of all backgrounds.
Our First Aid courses are focused on learning and developing practical skills so excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage learners is essential. Our courses are delivered on weekdays and on Saturdays .

You will need:

Your own equipment: Laptop, projector, Trainer AED, 3 baby manikins, 3 juniors and 3 adults A professional approach to training and thorough first aid knowledge AET/PTLLS Qualification A current FAW/HCPC certificate A minimum of 1 years previous First Aid Training Excellent knowledge and experience of Paediatric First Aid Full UK Driving Licence
