Marketing Assistant (Self-Employed / Freelance)Up to 10 hours per week | On-site | Indie Publishing Company

We are looking for a creative, confident Marketing Assistant to support our growing publishing business with short-form video content and social media marketing.

This is a self-employed / freelance role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on camera and understands social media trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Filming short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and other social channels.

Uploading, captioning, and scheduling social media content.

Hosting and managing TikTok Live streams.

Supporting content ideas aligned with our books, authors, and brand.

Working with the team to capture behind the scenes, promotional, and community focused content.

Maintaining a consistent and professional online presence for the business.

ABOUT YOU:

Confident on camera and comfortable speaking live to an audience.

Strong understanding of TikTok and social media trends.

Creative, proactive, and able to work independently.

Reliable and well organised.

Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team.Able to travel to and work from our office in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire (this is not a remote role).

ESSENTIAL:

Self employed / freelance.

Experience creating or posting social media content.

Availability for up to 10 hours per week initially.

Based locally or within reasonable travel distance to our office.

Comfortable appearing on camera and running live streams.

Age 18+.

DESIRABLE (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL):

Experience with books, publishing, or creative industries.

Basic video editing skills.

Experience growing or engaging an online audience.
