Altwork Global is seeking a versatile and creative Freelance Photographer / Videographer to support our media and communications output across the organisation. This role will involve capturing high-quality photography and video content for events, staff profiles, insight documentaries, social media, and general promotional use.
We are looking for someone who can work independently, contribute creative ideas, and deliver polished, professional content aligned with the Altwork brand. This opportunity is well suited to a graduate or intermediate-level creative professional looking to build a strong and diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Capture high-quality photographs and video footage at company events, staff engagement days, training sessions, and management meetings.
Produce short-form video content for social media platforms (e.g. reels, behind-the-scenes footage, "day-in-the-life" clips).
Film and edit staff profile videos and capture professional headshots for internal and external communications.
Create documentary-style content for Altwork programmes (e.g. Intern Leadership Programme, "Day in the Life of an Intern").
Edit and deliver polished media assets in agreed formats and resolutions.
Maintain an organised archive of photo and video content, clearly labelled and stored.
Collaborate closely with the Social Media Lead and Communications team to plan content and schedule shoots.
Proactively suggest creative concepts, storyboards, and ideas to enhance Altwork's brand presence.
Requirements
Proven experience in photography and/or videography (portfolio required).
Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar.
Ability to shoot in a variety of environments (office, outdoor, events, interviews).
Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and basic audio capture.
Reliable, well-organised, and able to meet agreed deadlines.
Confident communicator and comfortable filming in team-based environments.
Equipment
Ideally, freelancers should have their own essential equipment (camera body, lenses).
Working Arrangement
Freelance role on an as-needed basis, with hours dependent on project requirements.
Work will typically be scheduled in advance for planned events, with some flexibility required for occasional short-notice shoots.
Based primarily in Manchester, with potential travel within the Greater Manchester area.
