Role Overview
We are looking for
experienced and accredited freelance SFA trainers
based in
Northamptonshire
to support a new contract delivering
Suicide First Aid training
in the local area.
You will deliver two nationally accredited SFA courses:
SFA: Understanding Suicide Interventions (USI)
SFA: Suicide First Aid - Children & Young People (CYP)
These courses are delivered face-to-face and/or online, depending on client requirements. You'll be supported by our central training operations team, and we will support all logistics, materials, and learner registrations.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver SFA-accredited training sessions (both 1 day USI and 1 day CYP programmes) in Northamptonshire (in-person and/or virtually)
Create a psychologically safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment
Provide pre-session prep, post-session reflection, and support with learner queries
Liaise with our Training Coordinator and client leads for each delivery
Maintain up-to-date understanding of suicide prevention and safeguarding practices
Requirements
Based in Northamptonshire
or within very easy travel distance (this is essential)
Accredited and active licence to deliver both
:
SFA: Understanding Suicide Interventions (USI)
SFA: Suicide First Aid - Children & Young People (CYP)
Experience delivering sensitive, high-impact training with empathy and professionalism
Strong facilitation skills and ability to manage group dynamics
Trauma-informed and safeguarding aware approach
Comfortable delivering to mixed groups (community, professionals, young people-facing roles, etc.)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fully self-employed with appropriate insurance and DBS clearance
