Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Freight office by taking freight bookings, customer service & general enquiries.
Reporting to
: Quay Manager / Quay Supervisor
Responsibilities
Dealing with freight bookings, sales and quotes.
Answering customer telephone enquiries & emails.
Processing of shipping notes and creating vessel manifests.
Investigating invoice enquiries.
Working as part of a wider Steamship team and developing good working relationships with other local businesses and customers.
Coordinating with other freight office to support the tracking and return booking of freight.
Keeping bookings diary up-to-date and moving freight bookings when required.
Qualifications and Experience
Good people skills.
Confident IT skills.
