Role Summary
We are looking for a Freight Coordinator to join our team in Great Yarmouth. You will be responsible for arranging freight shipments from beginning to close, including booking acceptance, arranging with shipping line, processing customs, creating documentation, follow up and invoicing, whilst providing first class customer service throughout. The ideal candidate will have previous logistical experience, with a good understanding of the necessary processes and documentation.
What you'll be doing
Arrangement of international consignments according to client instructions and requirements.
Receiving of pre-alerts and shipping documentation.
End to end monitoring of inbound and outbound movements.
Opening of files for Air, Sea Road & Courier shipments.
Issue customs clearance instructions and verify 100% compliance with AEO and customs policy.
Day to day invoicing and job costing.
Track and follow up of purchase orders/shipments.
Maintenance of SOPs.
Coordinating with overseas offices/partners.
Quoting new traffic / new trade lanes.
Collaborate with Warehouse and Logistics to ensure client needs are met moving goods via all modes of transport.
Additional / ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Other requirements
Minimum 1-2 years previous logistics experience within a similar or commercial environment.
