We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes and possess experience in this Field

Duties

Coordinate and manage the movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely delivery. Utilise transportation management systems to optimise logistics operations. Maintain accurate data entry for shipments, including documentation and tracking information. Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Negotiate contracts and rates with freight carriers to achieve cost-effective solutions. Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to enhance service delivery. Implement EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for efficient Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations affecting freight forwarding.

Requirements

Proven experience in logistics or freight forwarding roles is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Familiarity with transportation management systems. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records within AS400 or similar systems. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for client interactions. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
