Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Freight Forwarder to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining seamless communication with clients and carriers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in supply chain management, logistics operations, and customer relationship management within a dynamic environment. Duties



Organise and manage freight shipments using advanced transportation management. Coordinate with carriers, customs authorities, and clients to facilitate smooth import/export processes in accordance with FDA regulations and other legal requirements. Utilise CRM software to maintain accurate client records, track shipment status, and support lead generation activities. Negotiate rates and service terms with 3PL providers, carriers, and other stakeholders to optimise costs while maintaining high service standards. Manage data entry tasks related to shipment documentation, tracking information, and compliance records using systems such as AS400. Collaborate across departments including sales management and logistics teams to streamline operations within the supply chain framework. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client enquiries related to B2B sales, shipment status, or logistical issues. Assist in developing strategies for lead generation and expanding business opportunities through effective logistics solutions.

Qualifications



Proven experience in transportation management systems (TMS), EDI, CRM software, or logistics operations is highly desirable. Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including freight forwarding, customs procedures, and FDA regulations. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable rates with carriers and 3PL providers. Proficiency in data entry and utilisation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as AS400. Knowledge of sales management principles and B2B sales strategies is advantageous. Effective organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with clients, carriers, and internal teams. A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving capabilities. Pay: 12.21-14.71 per hour
