Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Freight Forwarder / Co-Ordinator to support our Growing International Freight Division at Oakland International in the UK. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional logistics solutions while ensuring seamless transportation processes for our clients.

This role will be Freight forwarding focused but also provide administrative support to our Sales, Operations and Director for the division.

Responsibilities



Coordinate all aspects of freight forwarding operations. Develop and maintain relationships with clients and carriers. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Utilize transportation management systems to optimize logistics processes. Negotiate rates and terms with service providers. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline supply chain activities. Monitor shipments and provide timely updates to clients. Analyze data to improve operational efficiency.

Sales Support

:

Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) systems with accurate client information, sales activities, and communication logs. Assist the sales team in preparing compelling proposals, presentations, and sales collateral. Handle general sales correspondence, including emails and phone calls, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Client Onboarding

: Prepare, distribute, and track all onboarding documentation, contracts, and agreements, ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time. Arrange initial training sessions or introductory calls for clients on our systems or processes, as required. Proactively identify and resolve any administrative issues or roadblocks during the onboarding process, escalating complex matters when necessary.

General Administration

: Maintain organized digital filing systems, inboxes, and CRMs. Assist with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the sales and operations teams

Qualifications



Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics management. Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and transportation management systems. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Familiarity with CRM software is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
